Our company was started by two friends in 2008 under the name Wax Off Wax On. We saw a need for better-quality floor stripping and waxing at a more reasonable cost. Shortly after starting the company, we developed a way to strip floors using only water, which helped reduce chemical use and lower costs for our customers.
Within our first year, we began receiving requests for terrazzo restoration and polished concrete. We jumped into that work and continued learning through hands-on experience, training, seminars, and industry conferences.
Two of our first full terrazzo restoration projects were the Ace Hardware in downtown Naples and the Outrigger on Fort Myers Beach. Both projects were especially important to the owners because the floors contained historic terrazzo dating back to the 1940s & 1950s and preserving the character of those floors was a major part of the restoration. Our first concrete polishing project was the new parts-center addition at Camping World.
Terrazzo restoration and concrete polishing require years of experience and constant learning because no two floors are exactly the same. Different concrete mixes, aggregate, coatings, repairs, stains, hardness, and floor conditions can all affect the process and the final result.
Several years ago, we changed our name to E&C Floor Care & Restoration to better reflect the work we had grown into and the services we provide today.
We welcome calls from homeowners, business owners, contractors, and property managers who have questions about hard-surface flooring. Even if you have already hired someone and simply need another opinion or some guidance, we are happy to help when we can.
For contractors planning new concrete that will later be polished or dyed, we can help discuss the desired finish, aggregate exposure, and concrete mix considerations before the pour. We also work with contractors on floor preparation and restoration projects, including older homes with existing terrazzo.
